ABOUT ME

Baking was what I did for fun as a hobby and I would of never imagined pursuing it as a career.  I worked in the corporate world from working at an investment consulting firm to a huge customer service company in total of 13 years.  There was something missing in my life and I did not find joy in what I was doing.  After being laid off, I took some time off to really dig deep to search for my true passion and whatever it was, I wanted to use God’s talents and give Him all the glory.  I interned at a bakery with no previous commercial kitchen experience but since I took many Wilton Cake decorating classes, I felt I was over qualified.  Boy was I sadly mistaken!  The manager felt that I was unfit and saw no potential in me but I was thankful because it ignited a fire to get educated and professionally trained.  I graduated from Stratford University with a degree in Baking and Pastry in 2015.  The best decision I ever made because it not only confirmed my passion for baking but opened up my horizons to so many wonderful delicious desserts and techniques.
